Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT)
Diversified Technique is a widely used type of chiropractic manipulation/adjustment that includes most of the procedures taught in chiropractic schools. It is the technique most commonly used — and, so, most familiar — to patients.
The Graston Technique® incorporates an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and restrictions that affect normal function. Scar tissue limits range of motion, and in many instances causes pain, which prevents the patient from functioning as he or she did before the injury. This is an excellent technique to effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue.
Therapeutic Ultrasound — not to be confused with diagnostic ultrasound that provides images — is a method of using sound waves to stimulate the tissue beneath the skin’s surface. The heating and massaging effects increase blood flow in the treated area, speeding the healing process, reducing swelling and edema, and gently massaging the muscles, tendons and/or ligaments in the treated area.
